Giving everyone a voice
I am passionate about supporting children to communicate better: fostering positive relationships with their family, friends, educators and others to help them reach their best potential. With compassion, collaboration and evidence-based approaches at the heart of everything I do, I help organisations through: research & consultancy; provide training to support SLTs with continuing professional development; and offer children & families direct support.
Introducing Jill
Dr Titterington has over twenty years of clinical experience as a specialist for children with hearing impairment for whom difficulties with speech development are common, often severe and may involve phonetic and/or phonological difficulties. She provided all the training in phonetics and clinical speech sound disorder (SSD) for Ulster University’s undergraduate Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) degree programme from 2013-2023. She is a member of the UK and Ireland’s Child Speech Disorder Research Network, joint author on national guidelines on the phonetic transcription and analysis of child speech and has contributed to a number of research papers.
Research and Speech and Language Therapy Consultancy
Closing the gap between research and practice
I am passionate about the development and application of a rigorous and robust evidence-base to support efficient and effective management for the populations Speech and Language Therapist (SLTs) work with, in particular, children with speech sound disorder.
Coaching/supervision and training for Speech and Language Therapists
Providing 1:1 coaching & continuing professional development
I am passionate about providing engaging, interactive and excellent training for pre- and post-registration Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs). I also believe in offering supportive and empathetic coaching as we all look to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided to children.
